A 31-year-old electrician, Adwan Kanhai, appeared yesterday before Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the George-town Magistrate’s Court to face several charges of assault and use of threatening language. Kanhai pled not guilty to the chargesThe charges alleged that on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Lot 62 D’Urban Street, Lodge, Georgetown, Kanhai assaulted Aria Richmond and used abusive and threatening language towards her. Another two charges alleged that on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Lot 62 D’Urban Street, Lodge, Georgetown, Kanhai used abusive and threatening language towards Arita Griffith.
