The spokesperson for UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Wednesday said the situation in Dilling, South Kordofan State’s second-largest city, remains highly volatile.
Stéphane Dujarric said their humanitarian colleagues report that access routes are still cut off, and the city’s prolonged isolation has pushed conditions to crisis levels.
“Humanitarian operations remain limited, with only a small number of non-governmental organizations operating under severe constraints,” he said.
They need food, shelter, water, sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition support.
“We also call on donors to maintain and increase funding to ensure critical assistance reaches those in need,” he appealed.
