A man turned himself in after stabbing and killing his ex-wife in Wanyjok Town in Aweil East County in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State on Wednesday. Paul Kuch, the Director of Information and Communication in Aweil East County, said the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon after a disagreement about divorce. “It happened this Wednesday afternoon that a man called Lual Malok killed his wife, Adut Achiech Diany, due to divorce issues. The wife has been given divorce papers by a court,” he explained. The Executive Director for Wider Aid and Development Agency (WADA-South Sudan), Peter Diing Ngong, appealed to government authorities, especially judges, to handle marriage cases with care to avoid further escalations.
