Agadir – The Moroccan economist Mohamed H’Midouche was honored on Tuesday in Dakar following his designation at the 7th edition of the Financial Afrik Awards in Banjul as Economist of Africa for 2025-2026.
The Senegal-Morocco Circle of Friendship and Fraternity (CESEMAF) organized a reception in his honor, celebrating H’Midouche’s remarkable career and his dedication to advancing economic and social development across Africa.
The Economist of Africa Prize is awarded by an independent jury.
The 2025-2026 award was selected from four shortlisted candidates, nominated by Financial Afrik magazine, following a rigorous and independent selection process.
As a founding member of CESEMAF and former regional representative of the AfDB in Senegal, H’Midouche is widely recognized as a leading authority in African economic development.
