On January 17, plain-clothes officers were on patrol at St Pancras International railway station when they spotted Zenith Lawrence, who they recognised as a suspect in a previous theft from the All Saints store inside the station.
CCTV checks later showed Lawrence calmly taking two jumpers and two leather jackets worth almost £1,300 before leaving the store.
Officers quickly compiled CCTV evidence and witness statements, allowing the Crown Prosecution Service to charge him.
“This fast-paced investigative work allowed us to arrest, charge, and bring him before the courts in just two days.
“His imprisonment demonstrates our determination to tackle theft across the railway network.
