The Bermuda Philharmonic Orchestra hosted the third annual Young Artist Composition and Concerto Competition on Sunday, January 26 at the Bermuda School of Music. “Concerto category winners:“1st Prize was jointly awarded to: “Jithom Liew [13, violinist, Somersfield Academy] for his performance of the Bach Violin Concerto in E major. 3“The two first place winners will play their respective pieces with the Bermuda Philharmonic at their Spring Concert on April 19th City Hall in Hamilton. “3rd Prize: Dylan Jeffrey [17, violinist, Saltus Grammar School], for his performance of the Haydn Violin Concerto in G major. “The Bermuda Philharmonic invites you to join us for The Art of Music, the latest installment of our fundraising event series pairing chamber music and visual art.
