The bridge, on Westfield Lane, will replace the existing structure on the site, which has been earmarked for demolition. It forms part of proposals to build 291 new homes in the area, with the development given the green light in June 2020. In addition to the homes being built on land off Shipdham Road and Westfield Road, the plans also include a new roundabout and a road running through the site.
