People living in Norfolk can expect to pay more for water from April after industry body Water UK announced an average 5.4pc price rise across England and Wales.
Anglian Water customers will see their annual bills for 2026/27 rise by 7pc, an increase of £44, bringing the average annual cost to £674.
Water UK said the extra funding is needed to support a £20bn investment programme in 2026/27 aimed at improving infrastructure, safeguarding water supplies, and addressing environmental concerns.
Water UK said the cash raised from water bills could only be used to fund infrastructure that had been independently determined to be “new, necessary and value for money”.
To ease the pressure, Water UK has pledged to support around 2.5 million households with discounted bills averaging around 40pc.
