The 76-year-old guitarist and singer has just released his third solo album, The Accidental, a record that, true to its name, came together purely by chance. The release coincides with the anniversary of the band’s electrifying 1975 Glasgow shows, immortalised on Live!, one of rock’s most iconic concert albums. He laughed: “A guy called Andy Gamble, who’s done various filmy things for us, I didn’t realise he was a Quo fan, and he said… I’m remixing the Quo Live! Vaccaro eventually reassured him they could make the record without Rossi losing money, and The Accidental, along with its fitting title, was born.
