Glasgow City Council will close part of the road between Auchinlea Road roundabout and the A725 roundabout from 9.30am to 11.30am on Friday, January 30, 2026. During the works, traffic will not be able to access the closed section of the road and will be redirected along the designated diversion route. The alternative route will take vehicles through Auchinlea Road, Westerhouse Road, Lochend Road and Coatbridge Road. A council spokesperson said: "In order to undertake carriageway inspections, the road will be closed between the following hours: Friday, January 30, 2026 – 9.30am to 11.30am. "Diversions via Auchinlea Road, Westerhouse Road, Lochend Road and Coatbridge Road."
