Police hunt teen four months after 'dangerous and reckless' murder bid

Detectives have issued a renewed appeal for information after an accelerant was thrown onto a property, causing a deliberate fire in Girvan, South Ayrshire.
Officers were called to reports of a blaze at a property on Whiteford Avenue.
Fortunately, a member of the public forced entry to the building and helped a 21-year-old woman inside to safety.
The suspect is described as a boy in his late teens, wearing dark-coloured clothing and a black baseball cap.
Detective Constable Stewart Gordon said: “Luckily no one was hurt but it could have had far worse consequences.
