FLINT, MI -- Flint city Councilman Leon El-Alamin dragged his on-again, off-again girlfriend by her hair, punched her in the head, and choked her with his forearm inside the home they shared in Mt. Morris Township, his alleged victim has testified. MLive-The Flint Journal does not typically identify the alleged victims of domestic violence. El-Alamin’s alleged victim has said in an affidavit that she and El-Alamin are the parents of a child together and lived in the home for more than a year before the alleged July 10 assault. She said a police report indicating she told police El-Alamin punched her in the face was incorrect.
