In celebration of Fiber Arts February, join the Washington Public Library for a presentation by fiber artist Erik Jon Olson. Learn about Olson’s artistry and process and view his opening exhibit in the Helen Wilson Gallery with a reception to follow. Using quilted plastic waste, Olson merges environmental advocacy with contemporary art. There, he crafts large-scale artworks that merge his creative abilities with his commitment to sustainability, all through the transformation of plastic waste. The presentation and reception will take place this Friday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Nicola Stoufer room at the Library.
