Management at St Columba’s College in Stranorlar has said they are ‘delighted’ to have been included in the government’s €7.55bn national schools investment programme. The 1,000-student school was the only one in Donegal to be supported to go to tender or construction under the plan which was announced yesterday. “We were delighted to receive notification today that our major extension and refurbishment project has been included in Tranche 1 of the school building programme under the National Development Plan roll-out for 2026 / 2027,” the St Columba’s Board of Management said. With the addition of our new building programme, we look forward to a bright future where St. Columba’s College will continue to provide an excellent secondary education to meet all the needs of students in the Finn Valley community.
