Employment conditions improved since launch of Periodic Labour Force Survey: CEA Nageswaran Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran said that growth is being supported by strong domestic fundamentals, including consumption and investment. New Delhi:Chief Economic Advisor, V Anantha Nageswaran, on Thursday said India's employment conditions have improved since the launch of the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS). Nageswaran said that unemployment rate has declined from 6 per cent then to 3.2 per cent in 2023–24. The CEA said that growth is being supported by strong domestic fundamentals, including consumption and investment. On the inflation front, CEA Nageswaran highlighted that the price pressures have softened significantly.
