News January 29th, 2026A state of emergency has been been issued by the community of Badger, due to a flood warning in the region. This week officials have been keeping an eye on ice jams on the Exploit’s River, now water levels are rising in Badger. Water has been steadily rising throughout the day in areas of the community near the river. Last night the community of Badger issued a state of emergency, they say 24 hour monitoring is currently in effect. The Badger Town Council are asking residents to be vigilent of the current situation and to be prepared in the event of an emergency.
