PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI - A busy Pittsfield Township intersection has been cleared after residents were encouraged to avoid the area because of an “active police incident,” according to township authorities. The message to avoid Carpenter and Ellsworth roads was shared on the Pittsfield Township Police and Fire Facebook page at around 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, and updated within a couple of hours. The township said the intersection had been closed amid the elevated police activity, but further infromation was not immediately available.
