The publication summarizes the ILO’s contribution to the EU funded Zimbabwe Spotlight Initiative to eliminate violence against women and girls. The ILO component focused on addressing sexual harassment and SGBV in the world of work and advancing women’s economic empowerment. This publication documents support to a national workplace SGBV strategy (2021–2025), tools and training manual aligned with ILO C190 and R206, and advocacy by employers and unions that helped drive legal and policy reforms, including domestication through the 2023 Labour Amendment Act. It also highlights enterprise-level model workplace programming (policies, awareness, gender champions) and inclusion of persons with disabilities in the response. The women’s entrepreneurship/skills initiatives that reached thousands and supported micro-business creation, and case studies of some success stories are captured, indicating the economic transformation of the lives of the women and their families following the interventions.
