The Newton boys wrestling team takes on North Mahaska in New Sharon tonight. Some of Newton’s top wrestlers are coming off strong performances on Saturday at the Iowa City High Clyde Bean-Brad Smith Duals. Lane Rozendaal picked up four wins at 165 pounds while Aiden Robson at 132 pounds won three matches. As a team, the Cardinals went 0-5 in duals with Ankeny, Mount Vernon, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Iowa City High, and Pleasant Valley. Newton’s wrestlers will take the mat for the boys meet at North Mahaska High School at 6 p.m. this evening.
