Nine people have now been arrested in connection with a machete incident in the city centre. Police received multiple reports of a fight between a group of people, with one brandishing a machete in Glasshouse Street on Wednesday 28 January at 7.35pm. The suspects are four boys, aged 15, one man, aged 20, one boy aged 16, and three girls aged 14, 16 and 17. Chief Superintendent Nick Waldram said:“This behaviour is abhorrent and has absolutely no place in our city centre. “I could not be clearer, alongside members of the public, Nottinghamshire Police do not want knife carriers in our city.
