Share Pin 0 SharesAn appellate court in Florida has removed a judge from sentencing in a closely watched manslaughter case tied to the 2024 killing of rapper Charles “Julio Foolio” Jones after defense attorneys raised concerns about bias during trial.
“Everyone is entitled to a fair trial, including Ms. Andrews,” he said, according to Legal Affairs and Trials with Meghann Cuniff.
“The recordings helped immensely.”In an 18-page petition, McLymont argued the judge abandoned “cold neutrality” by humiliating defense counsel, assisting prosecutors and rushing the defense case.
Andrews maintains that she has a reasonable fear that the trial court has abandoned its role to be an impartial arbiter,” he wrote.
