Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Threads WhatsApp TelegramKUCHING (Jan 29): The Sarawak government, through the Sarawak Islamic Education Bureau, has allocated RM1 million to fund the construction of a new male student hostel at the Institut Dakwah Islamiah Perkim (IDIP) in Kelantan. Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the contribution is intended to provide better infrastructure and facilities for students at the institute. “We already have good hostels for female students, and we want to develop a new, safe hostel for male students. “For this purpose, we will rebuild the hostel under Perkim Kelantan, with the Sarawak Islamic Education Bureau contributing RM1 million,” he said, according to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report. In addition to the RM1 million allocation for the hostel, Abang Johari also announced a separate contribution of RM20,000 to Perkim Kelantan.
