Rain warning in place after flooding across Devon
['Richard Torne']
Sidmouth Herald | News
The Met Office has said further rainfall could lead to some flooding and disruption, and affect bus and train services.
There are also “areas of concern” in Lympstone, Exmouth, Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Sidbury, Sidford and Sidmouth.
The warnings follow in the wake of Storm Chandra on Tuesday (January 27), which brought strong winds, heavy rain and floods to the south west.
The River Otter reached its highest ever recorded level, forcing people to be evacuated from their flooded homes.
In addition, more than 50 schools in Devon had to close due to the weather.
