Royal Wagenborg provided assistance on 27 January to the car carrier Thames Highway after a fire broke out on board the vessel. In the early hours of Tuesday, around 1:00 AM, Wagenborg received an emergency call reporting a critical situation aboard the Thames Highway. Due to the severity of the alert, the tugboats Waterstraat and Waterstroom were immediately dispatched from Eemshaven as a precaution.
