Natasha Thomson, Development CoordinatorBig Brothers Big Sisters of Prince AlbertSubmittedBig Brothers Big Sisters is a community organization that has helped children in Prince Albert since 1972. It is based on a simple idea: when a young person has a mentor, they are more likely to feel confident and realize their potential. BBBS connects volunteers with young people who may benefit from extra encouragement or care. The intake process allows staff to get to know each person before making a match. Mentors are encouraged to approach each relationship with openness and respect, getting to know the young person as an individual.
