Construction begins on Port Hedland’s JD Hardie Adventure Park

Work has begun on Port Hedland’s JD Hardie Adventure Park, with the project set to be open in November in time for the 2026 Christmas school holidays.
Town of Port Hedland staff, Pilbara MLA Kevin Michel, Byblos Construction operations manager Luke Capaan and Lotterywest’s Lorna Pritchard turned the first sod on the project on January 16.

“It was fantastic to join the commissioner Martin Aldridge from the Town of Port Hedland and Lotterywest to mark an important milestone — the awarding of the tender to Byblos Constructions for the JD Hardie Adventure Park and Pump Track and turn the soil,” he said.
