Published on January 29, 2026 at 9:52 AM by Edgar NaithaPolice in Mchinji District have arrested three men, Mphatso Biliate, Naison Kamuona and Derick Chiuza, on suspicion of attempting to smuggle maize into Zambia. Mchinji Police spokesperson Limbani Mpinganjira confirmed the arrest, saying the suspects were apprehended on Wednesday while driving separate Scania and Freightliner trucks carrying a combined total of 90 tonnes of maize.
