Police say the children were discovered lying on beds inside the house, which was in disarray, with household items and children’s belongings scattered around. Preliminary investigations indicate that the children may have been poisoned, with officers suspecting a mixture of detergent was added to porridge given to them. Munala was later traced and arrested while allegedly attempting to flee and is currently being held at Mlolongo Police Station as detectives continue investigations. The bodies have since been taken to the City Mortuary, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
