The Political Science Department is hosting its third annual chili cookoff fundraiser on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 5-7 p.m.at the Inman House. When Julia Hellwege, a political science professor, first came to USD, she didn’t realize that the chili cookoff was a competition. Political science professor Sandy McKeown said how this decision was made when the department first created the event. “Since many of the professors within the department were involved with the food pantry, it seemed like a logical fit for the proceeds,” McKeown said. All donations will go directly to Vermillion Food Pantry, Feeding Vermillion.
