The Bihar government announced plans to build district-level Emergency Response Facility-cum-Training Centres (ERF-TCs) in 20 more districts. Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are already at the completed facilities. Of the 100 planned shelters in 10 flood-prone districts in Bihar, 96 have already been completed, with the rest expected soon. The department has also raised financial aid for flood-affected families, increasing ex-gratia relief from Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000.
