In Morocco, the Amazigh women’ communities are the central actors who hold Amazigh language and cultural identity. The young generation of Amazigh women is less interested in this art, which carries historical and Amazigh identity implications. These initiatives, though promising, remain insufficient because Morocco has a vastly large variety of Amazigh communities with their respective artistic items. Amazigh women’s hand and bodies have played – and continue to play – a crucial role, like museums keeping these ancient arts alive.
