–A Wesley man was taken into custody late last week on drug charges in connection with a traffic accident from early February. At that time, Deputies obtained a warrant to take a blood sample from Carter to test for intoxicants. Deputies later learned that the crime lab never received the blood sample, as the package was lost or damaged in transit. Carter was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on Monday, September 22nd.
