Fundraisers• Herald Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield, will host a soup, chili and bake-off competition from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the church. Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit general church operating costs. • A soup sale will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Cook Township Community Center, 1714 Route 711. • A takeout stuffed chicken breast dinner to benefit West Newton Woman’s Club will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 31 at Gary’s Chuckwagon, 109 S. Second St., West Newton. Menu: stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, roll & butter and cake, $20.
