From South Shields the buses depart from Ferry Street, outside the BT building, and in North Shields, they leave from North Quay. The ferry crew will also be present at the South Shields landing to provide people with more information on the period of disruption. ‌This comes just days after the Shields Ferry did not run on Tuesday due to the adverse conditions, with buses running instead then as well.
