New Delhi, Jan 29 (UNI) The Delhi High Court has dismissed a defamation suit filed by Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Sameer Wankhede concerning his alleged portrayal in the Netflix series The Ba**ds of Bollywood, citing a lack of jurisdiction. Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav ruled that the High Court was not the appropriate forum to decide the matter and gave Wankhede liberty to approach a court of competent jurisdiction. Wankhede had approached the Delhi High Court seeking relief over what he claimed was a defamatory depiction in the Netflix series. Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav reserved the order after hearing in detail Wankhede, Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix. The Netflix series was created, co-written, and directed by Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan.
