KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Lesetja Senona has told the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry that he believes the process is prejudiced against him, raising concerns about the handling and timing of evidence presented to his legal team.
Mr Senona is appearing before the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria for a third consecutive day, where he is giving testimony related to the commission’s mandate.
Mr Senona told the commission that he and his lawyers had received key documents too late, which he said compromised his ability to respond fully and fairly.
She rejected suggestions that the Madlanga Commission or its legal team were acting with bias, saying the inquiry was committed to a transparent and balanced process.
The Madlanga Commission is scheduled to hear from several other witnesses in the coming days as it continues its work.
