Class Power on Zero-Hours offers us many lessons on how to acquire these organizing tools. Mention is made of recent class struggle in the area, as well as aww’s involvement in overtime strikes and work slowdown as temps. The fifth chapter, “Working class families and women’s realities—in and beyond work,” was among the most powerful. The analysis began by looking at industrial sectors along the food supply chain, first food production generally and then the distribution of food products specifically. We can draw lessons from their experience to strengthen our own struggles, so I recommend that every working-class militant read Class Power on Zero-Hours.
