The following year, the team was co-presenting the BBC's Live Aid coverage, an event which drew a global audience of 1.9 billion people across 150 countries, nearly 40 per cent of the world population.
“My friend Andy has been going through a difficult time," said friend Peter Everett, who produces the Andy Kershaw Podcast.
“Last August, he was diagnosed with cancer, mainly affecting his spine and making him unable to walk," Peter continued.
