The EU recognises Viet Nam’s efforts to modernise its economy and attract foreign investment, and confirms its readiness to engage constructively with Viet Nam in its transition towards a more advanced economy. The EU will provide Viet Nam with technical support to improve its capacity to adapt to new EU policies and regulations on green and sustainable trade. Both sides acknowledge the contributions of Viet Nam and the EU in peacekeeping operations, as well as ongoing cooperation in crisis management. The early entry into force of the Convention would further contribute to strengthening regional and international cooperation in this area. Both sides will strengthen cooperation and information exchange in the field of banking regulation, inspection and supervision between Viet Nam and EU Member States.
