In the aftermath of the strike, he co-founded TREEage — an organization aimed at reforming local climate policy. Soin spoke with WSN about how he balanced a full-time corporate job while continuing to direct one of the largest youth-led climate advocacy groups. We were working in New York City and state government processes — that has stayed fairly consistent throughout the last six and a half years. In the first year of TREEage, we only had the $200 that I pulled from that paycheck from my NYU job. After graduating from NYU in 2022, Soin spent over three years working full time at TED Conferences on its climate team.
