UK-based subsea specialist, Enshore Subsea, has turbocharged its shallow water cable installation focus with nearly £100 million in HSBC UK funding. The Northumberland-headquartered business, which provides specialist trenching and cable installation services to the global offshore energy sector, will use the financial support from HSBC UK to progress the delivery of major renewable energy infrastructure contracts. Funding will also contribute to three projects in the German North Sea, awarded under a six-year framework agreement with Nexans, a global leader in cable systems. These projects will see submarine cable systems for offshore grid connections installed to transmit renewable energy to the German mainland. Enshore in global offshore pushCoupling the contacts and funding package allows Enshore to develop, with larger global projects following its recent award of export cable installations in Scotland and Senegal.
