Plainview-Elgin-Millville (PEM) Community Schools will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 29, as authorities investigate a threat that was phoned into local police on Wednesday evening. "We are aware of the threats made against the P.E.M school district and are taking this matter very seriously. Miller said, police immediately launched an investigation and have already spoken to several people, but haven't determined if the threat was credible. Investigators are specifically looking for people "who personally saw the specific threat made by the suspect, or heard the suspect make the threat in person."
