Jaipur, 29 January (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on directions from the headquarters of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Dungarpur unit of the bureau arrested two police personnel of Dovda Police Station while accepting a bribe of ₹1.5 lakh. The arrested accused have been identified as Constable Prakash Chandra Patel and Head Constable Ashok Kumar Patidar. Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Govind Gupta, stated that the ACB Dungarpur received a complaint alleging demand of a bribe of ₹2 lakh by Constable Prakash Chandra Patel. The complaint stated that the constable continued to harass the complainant by demanding a bribe of ₹2 lakh. On 28 January 2026, the ACB conducted verification of the bribe demand, during which Constable Prakash Chandra Patel and Head Constable Ashok Kumar Patidar agreed to accept ₹1.5 lakh from the complainant.
