How difficult could university-level Maths really be?
The chasm between the levels of high school and university Maths can be jarring for first-year students, and as such, Wits University wants to make that transition easier.
Through AMPLIFY, Wits aims to make the level of education students receive more consistent across degrees.
High failure rates in university-level Maths tend to be a result of under preparedness of learners making the leap into tertiary education.
“AMPLIFY is here to help them bridge that gap where they find the shift from school maths to university maths difficult,” says Carrim.
