The Board of Directors of the Ho Teaching Hospital has intensified its advocacy for improved infrastructure and stronger partnerships, following a high-level engagement with the Volta Regional Representative on the Council of State, Mr. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah Atokple.
Members of the Board drew attention to the urgent need for infrastructure expansion, stressing that the hospital’s current capacity no longer matches its status as a teaching and tertiary referral centre.
The Board maintained that the project remains central to the hospital’s expansion agenda and indicated its intention to sustain advocacy efforts to ensure its reinstatement in future budgetary allocations.
The approach, according to the Board, is also aimed at improving operational efficiency while safeguarding standards of care.
He assured the delegation of his support and emphasised the relevance of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) as a realistic pathway for closing infrastructure deficits.
