Ross County chief Steven Ferguson reckons letting striker Ronan Hale join English League Two side Gillingham was the right move all round. Ferguson explained that, while they did want to keep Hale, the player made it known he saw his future away from the Highlands. He added: “We’ll work to the wire and, ideally, we would like to have that forward player in the building. “We believe the group we have are capable – and can someone here step up to the plate and replace Ronan? “It’s a new challenge now which I am looking forward to.
