A Torry offshore worker fell to his death after his employer failed to perform a safety check. Ensco Offshore Ltd was found to have breached health and safety laws following an investigation into the death of Lee Hulse in November 2025. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has issued an improvement notice, saying Ensco breached the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999. A HSE investigation concluded that the operator “failed to make an assessment of the risks to the health and safety of your employees”. A safety notice was also issued to other companies, warning workers of what happened.
