'The water was up to waist height, everything's gone - and we will get hammered every storm'Storm Chandra brought destruction across Northern Ireland this week with flooding and strong windsAntrim resident on Storm Chandra aftermathA resident in Co Antrim has said "everything is gone" after flooding from Storm Chandra, and he has raised concerns they will get "hammered" each time there is a storm.
Kevin Reid is a resident in the Massereene Street area of Antrim, and told Belfast Live how the "water came up to waist height" in his back garden as the storm hit on Tuesday, January 27.
Storm Chandra caused disruption across Northern Ireland, with flights being cancelled and roads closed due to flooding and fallen trees.
More than 300 schools closed their doors amid amber and yellow weather warnings while thousands of people were without power.
There's 10 or 12 houses here and every fence is gone, oil tanks are gone, drainage all came up through the gardens so it's all contaminated now.
