(Image: CambridgeshireLive)The council has provided an update on roadworks that were expected to last nearly a year, but suddenly stopped last year. In June 2025, Cadent Gas began work along Hills Road and Station Road in Cambridge, to upgrade and replace 1.4km of gas pipes. ‌At the time, a Cadent spokesperson said it was “disappointing” that it hadn’t “provided the service we had promised”. A council spokesperson said the roadworks are “not expected” to continue this year.
