The tournament is being organised by Grassroot Sports and Marketing Limited in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative office in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The initiative aligned with the broader objectives of the Renewed Hope Initiative, championed by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, to engage and support young Nigerians. Organisers disclosed that the tournament was designed to provide opportunities for skill development, youth engagement, and national exposure for aspiring footballers. Meanwhile, the Renewed Hope Cup is tentatively scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, with further details expected to be released in the coming weeks.
